After proudly serving over nine years as a nuclear operator in the U.S. Navy, I decided to serve the community in support of our farmers. My main interest is soil-borne pathogens. Fusarium, a fungus found in most soils, has been associated with asparagus yield decline. My research will evaluate methods to improve asparagus health by overcoming these soil-borne fungi.
